The Providers at Family Health Center of Sandpoint

All of our physicians have graduated from accredited family practice residency programs and are board certified by the American Board of Family Practice. A family physician is a medical doctor who has completed an extensive three-year residency program after graduating from medical school. Instead of specializing in one area, family physicians are trained to treat common illnesses in all major medical areas – from pediatrics to internal medicine to geriatrics. Board certification requires continuing medical education and recertification testing.

We also have two certified nurse practitioners (NP) on staff. Nurse practitioners are registered nurses who have advanced education and clinical training and are licensed to prescribe medication. Nurse practitioners must take a two- to three-year master’s program in a variety of specialties in order to become licensed. Click on a picture to read more about your doctor.
